Hazel is growing SO fast... too fast! She's rolling from her back to her tummy, but hasn't figure out how to roll from her tummy to her back. She gets SOOOOO mad when she gets stuck on her tummy for too long. Still drewling... still no teeth. Any day we expect them to pop through.
Howard has 2 days of soccer this winter, both through the Soccer Tots program. Saturday's he has skill and team-building "practice". Sunday's he has a short practice and them a game, his favorite! He wants his team to call themselves "Liverpool". Liverpool is Brian's favorite European team, I thought it was pretty cute! We asked him if he wanted to do 2 days of soccer each week, or just 1. He told us he wants to do 18 days of soccer each week. :) Howard has been itching to be outside, so when it's been warmer, he's been riding his bike. Yes, in January!
As a busy mom, I like to spend my time playing with the kids. This means I don't spend my time writing cute things down, like I feel like I should. I have started a blog to help track the fun times we have in writing.

JAKE
Yesterday we had a fun play date with one of Howard's preschool friends, Braxton at McDonald's, of course. Braxton is a very quiet, shy boy. He and Howard have hit it off quite well and they play together at preschool very well. Braxton has an 11 month old little brother, so Julie (Braxton's mom) and I enjoyed talking boys & babies. The best part of the playdate.... JAKE RETURNED! Jake is Howard's little alien friend. Brian and Howard found Jake on the sidewalk while walking to ice skating lessons about 2 months ago. Jake was lost at a friends house, then returned. Howard took him to preschool a couple of weeks ago and lost him in the preschool toys, devastation ensued. I throw bag fulls of McDonald's shit-toys away regularly, none of it ever missed by Howard. This little alien he found on the street has been the center of his universe! Braxton showed up at McDonald's with Jake and Howard could not be happier.
Hazel is teething like crazy! Drewl, drewl, drewl! We can't wait until her first tooth pops through.

Gadgets & Hair
We have created a MONSTER! Howard is obsessed with all things electronic - the Wii, our Droid phones, the thought of owning an iPad! Yes, I said iPad. Brian and Howard visited the Apple store (downtown) over the weekend. It took Howard about a minute to spot and figure out how to play a game on one of the iPad's on display. He wants to have a party for himself where we all buy him presents, but it's not his birthday, because that's too far away. Ask him what he wants and he'll tell you, "an iPad". We keep telling him, "when you're 18 you can buy as many as you want". He doesn't like the 'when you're 18' response from us.
And finally, a picture of Hazel's new haircut. Yeah, I know, you probably can't even tell it was cut, unless you've actually held her lately. But, it's a lot shorter on top & side and much more manageable... all 8 strands of it. :)

Sky diving & hair cut
In case you didn't know, today is "opposite" day, at least according to Howard it is. I was "Hazel" all day and "Hazel" was mom. Oh it was interesting. Howard asked me when he would be able to go sky diving all by himself! Ummmm, let me think for a minute... NEVER! I told him when he was 18 he could do it. He asked when he could go with someone else (as in tandem), I told him when he was 18. He wasn't happy with that response.
And after much talk and thought about it, I CUT HAZEL'S HAIR! AHHHH! She had some major wispy hairs that were super long, so I cut it. Yes, I was just as concerned about it as I look in the picture. I will post an after picture tomorrow. I was cutting on borrowed time (her bed time).
Our evening ended with Hazel in bed, Howard & Brian playing hockey in the living room and mom posting on the blog.

New Blog
A NEW Blog! FINALLY! I feel like I have so many fun stories, cute kid things and interesting things to share with my family and friends and unless I talk to you regularly, you miss out on some neat-o stuff. So, at the advice of my mom, I'm starting a blog to share and keep track of all our happenings. I hope to contribute to the blog at least a few times each week. Stay tuned....
